Q. What are the benefits of becoming a member?

A. Q. Who is eligible to become a member and how do I join?

A. Any faculty or staff member, Hopkins Alum, parent of a currently enrolled student, or graduate student of Johns Hopkins is eligible to become a member of The Hopkins Club. A current member can also sponsor a non-Hopkins affiliate. Please see our Member Qualifications page for other qualifications.

Q. How do I become a member of the Hopkins Club?

A. There are 4 ways to join the club:

  • In person at the Club: Complete your membership application and give it to Hopkins Club staff with arrangement for payment of your annual dues.
  • Via the U. S. Postal Service or Campus Mail: Send your completed membership application, with all contact information and payment details to the Johns Hopkins Club, 3400 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21218.
  • Online: Visit the Membership Application Form page under the Membership tab on our website.
  • By telephone: Please call the Club's Business Office, 410-235-3435, Mon-Fri, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Q. What are the dues?

A. The fiscal year of the Johns Hopkins Club is July 1st through June 30th. Dues are assessed annually at the start of our fiscal year and pro-rated on a quarterly basis. Initiation fees and/or dues may be assessed semi-annually with an administration fee of $10.00 with your first billing. The Initiation Fees may be waived in lieu of Food and Beverage spending.

Please remember Dues and Initiation Fees are non-refundable and are not deductible as charitable contributions for tax purposes. 


Q. Do you have reciprocal privileges with other Clubs?

A. Yes, the Club is a charter member of the Association of College and University Clubs whose members enjoy reciprocal privileges of more than 90 ACUC faculty, staff, and alumni clubs throughout the world. 

The Johns Hopkins Club also has reciprocal arrangements with other private clubs and resorts worldwide.

Q. Is Membership required to use the Hopkins Club facilities?

A. You must be a Member, or a guest of a Member to enjoy the Club’s facilities.

Q. Do you have to be a Member to book an event?’

A. Yes, In order to host an event at The Hopkins Club, you must be an active member, or you may be sponsored by a Member of the Club.

Q. What is the dress code?

A. The dress code for our Lounge, Main Dining Room, and Banquet Rooms for evening dining and Sunday Brunch is business casual for both men and women. While jackets are encouraged, men are not required to wear a jacket and tie. Jeans or denim, tee shirts, shorts, athletic shoes, flip flops, and other extremely casual attire will not be permitted.

Causal attire is permitted in the Tap Room and during Lunch hours in The Main Dining Room.

A. Our parking lot, conveniently located adjacent to the Club, is available at no charge to our members and their guests when they are visiting the Club.
